Lawrence County @ Belfry 11/15/12 (2nd Round)

That said, I try to be real about prognosticating on here. I'm not always right and I tend to be cautious about the home team. Sani is a nice QB. I like him and I think he is a great leader and quality football player. That said, he puts the ball on the ground when running the option WAY to much. It isn't the end of the world. While I also completely support Haywood, you have to look at 11 weeks and say, let's be judicious risking the pitch. You can motion the WB and pitch it wide. It is safer. If teams are keying on the motion man as the play side, and surging toward the play side tackle, run the counter or run the FB to negate that. Sani has consistently put the ball on the ground after gaining nice yardage.
Here is the bottom line: belfry has a shot to take it all, bu that requires the seniors on offense to WIN the game. That means run a bit safer offense IMO and shorten the game against good teams. Gosh, this is what Haywood knows. IMO ( and I am no genius) run the FB, pound the power off tackle, run Johnson on the counter, and keep it simple until they MAKE you run the pitch.
No way I can counter any of that lol....FB is the bread and butter...Getting Hatfield back and knowing Carr and Fletcher are there as well is a big plus....Sani definitely needs to protect the ball ....He MUST protect the ball...I also like Taylor at spot duty with the pitch to the outside...It will get interesting starting Friday and it will be interesting to see how the ole coach continues to adjust this team.
