Sophomore quarterback Ben Dressman threw for one touchdown and ran for two more, helping lead Covington Catholic to the playoff win.
Senior running back Luke Bir rushed for 200 yards and added two scores to help seal the win.
Johnson Central came into the game undefeated and averaging 56 points a game, but after jumping out to the early lead they were shut down by the Covington Catholic defense. After leading 21-14 at halftime, CovCath score 21 unanswered points to put the game away.
