Belfry @ Bourbon County (State Semi Finals)11/29/13
AtlPirateFan Wrote:Thats the good thing about Belfry's schedule. We have seen them have to do these things this year. Against Pike Central the Pirates found themselves down 19 - 0 very early in the game. Quick scoring wont affect the Pirates. They will play until the final whistle. Being down will not impact their game plan. BC can jump up 21 to 0 and I guarantee you everyone can guess the next play the Belfry offense will run.

Johnson Central put Belfry out, in the 3rd quarter, the Pirates never stopped playing. Johnson Centrals key to victory was not running all over Belfry all night, it was that amazing O-line that allowed it to happen. The same O-line that allowed them to burn most of the 4th quarter on a long sustained drive. That's going to be the real key to this entire game. Can Belfry's young, yet much improved D-line play well. Can Bourbons more experienced, improved O-line play well for 4 quarters.

BC may get some explosive runs in early, do they have the horses who can do it for 4 quarters. Jumping to a lead unless its a fast running clock will not be enough. They will need to play all 4 quarters.

The depth the Pirates play with make them very suited to play 4 quarters of football regardless of the situation.

Two things I can promise ...

1. This isn't Pike Central, who to me looked awful in both Belfry games.
2. If Bourbon gets up 21-0 (not likely) START THE BUS!

Just like with Belfry, you can't let Bourbon get going.
