All stars are chosen or should be chosen by what they have accomplished in their career not how big their school is or what reputation their football team has had. Im sorry as a fan with no dog in it I would not accept these credientials as all star material. 3 wishes everyone knows that it is a given that 2 or 3 spots are reserved for the kids from Whitley, Williamsburg and Corbin to insure that a fan based is established so if you think politics aint in these selections get a grip. Look at the past rosters to prove my point:popcorn:

Considering the entire committee and founders of the border bowl are from Whitley County, whats the problem? Every single person that puts this thing on is from Whitley. The majority of the attendance to these games are from Whitley County, and whether or not they are "worthy" in your eyes, there will always be kids from these three schools on the list.
If you don't like it, perhaps you can get people together in your county to put on an all star game so everyone you'd like to see get picked does.

Its just funny when you think that kids from these schools wont make it. Atleast 1 from each. After all, the committee is made of up of a Wburg Cop, Whitleys AD, Whitley Countys coroner, Whitley Countys PVA, Whitley Countys former Basketball Coach and Middle School principal, a current Whitley County asst principal, another former assistant at Whitley and a couple others.
Whitley has one kid on the team, and hes pretty good. I don't see how it can be seen as being a complete homer.
