Impact on KY HS recruiting by Louisville and WKU coaching changes.

I would have reservations sending my son to play for Petrino. Not only do the character issues concern me, but he will likely jump to the next job even after mild success.

Joker Phillips took a program Brooks built to a quality program and single handily set them back 5-6 years in the span of 2 seasons. Any success Joker enjoyed could be directly attributed to Danny Trevathan and Randall Cobb.

UK is still 2 years away,, but with the level of recruiting they have seen they will regain form as a 7 win program as long as Stoops and company know how to coach them up. I would love to see UK make a splash Nationally...but the best case scenario for Kentucky is to emulate Missouri. Consistently be a lower tier bowl contender, with a season every 4 years or so where they build and compete with any team in the SEC.

UK will never go toe to toe with the SEC heavyweights every season. No matter how good Stoops and his staff recruit UK simply doesnt have the cache to match up with the Top 10 classes these other schools pull every single year. Where Kentucky can make up ground is with the loss of early NFL entrants, suspensions, and coaching turnover that comes with the high expectations of high talent pool.
