Somerset will no longer play Pulaski and Southwestern in Football

Old Jumper Wrote:Exactly; Somerset's decision has nothing to do with venue. It does, however, have everything to do with present company.

For instance, I note in the linked article that after Somerset announced they would not renew the DMB contract after this season, PC and SW announced that in retaliation, they would not participate in the Ray Correll Bowl. However, nowhere is it confirmed that either team was even invited to remain in the Correll Bowl after 2014. They were not.

It has nothing to do with venue, Pulaski schools; it's you. Godspeed. Vaya con dios. Don't let the screen door hitcha. Adieu. Alvederzane. Adios. Don't go away mad. If the phone doesn't ring, it's me. Get it?

It's better this way. You'll find someone else.

This comment is hilarious. That's like going to a bar with your buddies and choosing the 6 over the 10 because you think you'd have a better shot at taking her home. Playing it safe because it's the more secure decision. You still get what you want, but it's not what it could have been. Come on man. You don't believe that garbage do you?

Outside of bringing in the Alabama Crimson Tide, there is no way Somerset makes as much money overall at the RCB without the participation of Pulaski and Southwestern.
