Thank God for Operation Overlords success and blessings upon the sacrifices made by so many on this day 70 years ago throughout europe.

A few very good movies to watch this weekend to honor, respect, and learn more about these allied forces and what they encountered…

Saving Private Ryan

The Big Red One

Patton

My family has watched Monuments Men and the Big Red One within the last week. I want my son to connect the dots and realize just how great the threat of evil was and just how close our country came to speaking German and Japanese under a dictatorship. That whole genocide concept is a real eye opener as well. And to think this was only 70 years ago.

God bless the "Greatest Generation"…
