I definitely agree with this... being undefeated still speaks volumes because it means they never tasted defeat. Hard to argue against a team who never lost.
With that said, it brings the whole Boise State side of the argument into play. By no means am I saying this is a direct comparison in this case... but if Boise State goes 12-0 playing the 65th ranked SOS, Alabama goes 11-1 with the 15th ranked SOS, and Florida State goes 10-2 with the best SOS, who gets the nod for the Championship Game?
There is definitely a very strong argument for both Mayfield teams that went undefeated... one I had as a very close 2nd..the other I could very easily see being as high as the 3rd team..just in my particular preference I had them around #6 by the thinnest of margins.
