Well, when you are slower than the teams you play you can't try to go side to side. When you are bigger up front it stands to reason that you should be able to get push. So if you can get a push up front and you can't run laterally, it stands to reason that you run straight ahead. When you do that, you tend to wear on a smaller team and make them tired. If you can settle with 3-4 yards per carry and don't let your ego think that you have to be more flashy, you can move the chains and eat up the clock. Therefore you can eat up the clock, score and limit the other team from scoring. You have defense caused by your offense. That is what they need to do. It sounds simple because it is.
