First off, Dalton did not initiate the trash talking on Friday night. #23 from raceland was the one who was "jawboning". If you were at the game you would have seen that dalton didn't react in any sort of way. Dalton himself told me that he did not say a single word. He said that #23 of raceland spit on him and was talking trash to him. Dalton walked away and went to the sidelines. He handles the situation very maturely. There was no need for an ejection. Dalton is an amazing kid and you all beat him up like he's some kind of punk. Before you go and run your mouth about the kid on in the Internet, sit down and have a conversation with this young man. You will quickly change your outlook on him. Yes he got thrown out of the breathitt game but he was not the only one. You all songs him out. If you watch the film #83 from breathitt clearly kicks Dalton in the back of the leg as Dalton is plainly standing there. He is no doubt one of the best athletes in this area. He was confidence in himself as a player. He believes in his abilities. He acts no different than any of you would if you were playing Highschool football. Anyone who truly knows Timmy Dalton will tell you that he is a good kid. Who are you all to judge a 15 year old kid?

Anything I have said is not directed at the kid himself. It could be any kid that did the same thing and I would say the same thing. I think that probably goes for most people that have commented on the situation. The adults in that kid's life have failed him, especially his coach. He's played in two games in the last three weeks and he didn't finish either of them. At some point people have to stop making excuses for him and let him learn some life lessons. Every Friday night in every city in America, kids playing high school are going to run their mouth. Its just a natural thing that seems to happen when you play a physical sport that involves contact with the opposition. The difference is the adults that are surrounding the majority of high school football players are teaching them boundaries and consequences. They know their kids are going to be trashed talked, but the job they've done teaching them maturity and how to think about consequences oversees any impulse decisions they may make. Most kids know when they are winning the other team will try and get under their skin, but they know they can point to the scoreboard and it be over. In the same situation, you'll have kids at the bottom of a pile try and get a cheap shot or pinch or try and provoke them physically. However, their coaches have done a good enough job coaching them to understand the one that retaliates always gets caught. That's when most kids will weigh the consequences against the reaction and a smart decision comes out of it. However, for whatever reason those lessons have not been learned yet and he's old enough to where if its not dealt with it will absolutely follow him into adulthood. This stuff should have been taught to him in junior leagues or even middle school. I feel bad for him and I hope he can turn it around? I do think, however, posting that its not his fault is very counterproductive. Maybe this suspension will open his eyes?
