Here is the proof taken right off the website info that YOU posted. The very first example of an acceptable proof of ID they list is a DRIVER'S LICENSE

You’ve registered to vote but your name doesn’t show up on the roster.
You show up at the polls without proper identification and no personal acquaintance with the polling officer.
Your status has been challenged by all precinct election officers.
Talk with the election officers at your precinct’s polling place to find out if provisional voting is an option for you.

The debate was never to develop the details of provisional voting, your area of obsession. The driver's license is the number one, hall of fame, go to form of ID at the polls.

You do understand what example means, right? The first example is a DL because most people have one, and usually have it on them. It is not required, or the first thing they ask for. They are supposed to just ask for an id, and the voter is to show them proof of their identity, and almost anything with the voters name on it is acceptable. Like I said, I've been through the training, and have sat as a challenger. Again, one more time, the voter chooses what form of id they show, out of the acceptable list. I have been asked to show id, and I showed a credit card, and they said, "sign the register, and go back to the booth". The number one form that voters show might be a DL(as it's usually easy to show), but it's not required. I never show a photo id to vote.
