The Kings are now 6-4. They blew two consecutive games in which they had leads of 24+ points. But last night they beat the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. What makes that impressive is not that they beat the Spurs but that they beat the Spurs with everyone available playing. Coach Pop even played Parker, Ginobli, Leonard, and Duncan together for most of the 4th Quarter and the Spurs STILL lost.
As a life-long Kings fan it is impressive to know that this team could easily be 8-2 but is still 6-4. Remember, this is the hardest part of their schedule this season. 7 of the 10 games they have played are against teams that were in the playoffs last season. 2 of the other three games were against the Denver Nuggets who were a serious playoff team two seasons ago when these same players were healthy.
I do not expect the Kings to make the playoffs but at this point I will not be surprised if do.
