I have been around High School football from the time I could walk circa 1982, I've been a water boy a player and now a coach. I realize that these rules are for players safety, however I can remember watching the practices as a kid and seeing players licking the dew off of the grass to get some water in during morning full tilt two a days. It was just such a different time and an era of football that we will never see again. It died in the late 90's. The game has changed, players have changed, rules have changed, And attitudes have changed. It would be so nice to go back to the 80's when even the bad teams would go out and go to war. I guess I'm rambling but in the end you play like you practice. I am just not a fan of half speed when you cross that line onto the gridiron.
