This is one of my favorites. Bo McMillin (Somerset HS Class of 1917) running behind James "Red" Roberts (Somerset HS Class of 1918) against Tulane University when both were All-American players for the Centre College "Praying Colonels" in 1921.

I particularly love Roberts' decision to simply tape down his ears instead of wearing a helmet:
