Interesting read
I do not agree with kids getting harassed for transferring. If a kid, or a parent, is genuinely trying to give their child the best chance at success... whether academically, bettering the odds of an athletic scholarship, or simply going to a school that better fits them from a social standpoint.. then let them go. I don't agree with coaches or boosters actively recruiting a kid or giving them an unfair advantage (transportation, housing, money, etc) based on their athletic prowess, but if a family can allow a kid to attend a school that is a better fit and can sacrifice whatever is necessary to do so they should have the right to attend whatever school they wish.
With that said, I have no issue with the coaches at their old school if they want to erase them off the record books from their team. If they want to take down their highlights, remove their stats... that is their prerogative. I am not saying that from a moral standpoint it is the right thing to do, I would hope no coach would want to hinder a kid's chance at a college scholarship, but considering it was the team's film crew and statisticians that came up with that data I cannot condemn a coach for not letting a kid take that with him.
