The closest school in distance that your team doesn't play

Pulp Fiction Wrote:Not that it matters..... But JC has teams in our basketball district (57th) and region (15th) that we have never played or haven't played in years.

57th District
Magoffin County - 2002
Paintsville - 2008 (closest to JC)
Sheldon Clark - 2010

15th Region
Allen Central - Never Played
South Floyd - Never Played
Phelps - Never Played
East Ridge - Never Played
Pikeville - 1977
Betsy Layne - 1989
Prestonsburg - 1992
Shelby Valley - 1996
Pike County Central - 1998
Lawrence County - 2006
Belfry - In a current contract, 2014.

The only other County that borders Johnson is Morgan.
JC last played Morgan County in 1998.

Yes.... I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE BASKETBALL FORUM. But for the purpose of this thread, basketball District and Regions are being used to prove my point.

Some of these schools have not had the best football programs and are lucky to field a team some seasons. And I don't want to travel to Phelps or South Floyd to watch JC play a football game either.
I'm sure other schools across the Commonwealth have a similar issue.... just something to think about.

I've seen those on here post time and time again how JC has a cupcake schedule. IMO, JC shouldn't play any teams listed other than Belfry (cause they can compete) and Paintsville (because the gate sales are huge). JC is a huge school in a small school region.

I know a Sheldon Clark fan will dispute this and rightfully so due to 2009 and 2010 but those are times of old and SC will not see those type teams for many years to come.

Central needs to do 2 year contracts with Northern/Central Ky teams as long as the competition in Eastern Ky remains as is.
