Tell us how your beloved Tomcats got their name and Maroon & White colors.

Early 1900s Football coach while at practice turned to one of his assistants and said this team looks like a bunch of Tomcats fighting. Name stuck. Not sure on the colors. Not many schools and none in Kentucky with that nickname.
