2004 was the last time Whitley played Knox before they started again a few years ago. If im not mistaken the actual all time record is still in Whitleys favor by over 10 wins. My point was not directed at you, rather your little buddies who like to puff there chest on a start up program that's never won anything.
To my knowledge, before the series started back up in 2011 or 2012 until last year, it gave Knox 3 or 4 wins. Before that, 2003 was a 52-0 Whitley win and 2004 was a 34-6 Whitley win where the school record for rushing yards was broken at Knox Central.
You have to go back in the 90s before that.

Sounds right. I recall being at Union and coming over to watch KC play in the early 90's. It was usually a lopsided loss. I remember pointing out how odd it was that the coaches did not use head sets.

I also recall watching their d-line. I played DE for Union and was interested to learn. But most of the time they just fired out and bear crawled. Evidently coaches back then failed to understand the math. If the offensive lineman "gets tied up" he wins. A tie goes to the o-line. Watch any college or pro team. The only time you see "bear crawl" d line is on the 1 inch line. Wasting athletes is normally not an approach that wins.

It took years, a great youth program, and much better coaching to turn around a program that was simply put - terrible. Glad that is no longer the case.
