Just out of curiosity, why did the coach not call time out and question the ruling on the field? It is up to the coach also to know the rule. He may call a timeout and question the ruling, if it is overturned he gets his timeout back. I'm sure when the referee reviewed the play with him, it would have been corrected. Lets just say that there is plenty of blame to go around on this one and let it go.
