Can we just let this mistake go please. It detracts from the game. I promise you that no part time employee in any job is going to know every rule. These guys do this part time, for little pay. We have already established that it was a mistake and it still wouldn't have changed the fact that Mayfield won.

That was a pretty simple rule: kick goes into the end zone in high school it is always a touchback unless it is batted there.

But it does look like they got the complete pass/facemask call that you were upset about correct. That was my point about application of the rules vs judgement calls. I can live with missed judgement calls but to call a state final you've got to know the basic rules.
