Mayfield @ Christian Academy-Louisville**2A State Semi Finals**11/25

Mayfield has allowed 175 points versus CAL allowing 140. That amounts to Mayfield allowing an average of 13 points per game. CAL allows an average of 11 points per game.

That really isn't that much of a difference. But, here is what people really miss. The hidden factors. Mayfield's varsity defense didn't allow that. 7 points that Graves Co scored was against Mayfield's jv. 20 points that Corbin scored were not allowed by the defense. It was due to a pick 6, a punt block for a td and a snap over the punters head. Murray scored 7 points on the jv defense. Hancock Co scored 7 points on the jv defense. Butler Co scored 6 points on the jv defense. That's a total of 47 points.

If you take the 47 points off the Mayfield defense's total you get 128. That is less than CAL allowed. It's also 10 points per game on average.

I think most teams that make it to this point in the season have had their fair share of lopsided wins and not all their points were given up by their varsity either.
