I understand trying to get as many kids involved as you can to keep kids rested and healthy and also to play as many as you can to get them experience and keep them interested in playing cuz nobody wants to be on the bench. The other side to that is by doing so, we are not playing the best 11 we can and some of the ones that are playing just are not getting the job done and are hurting the team. Things may change once district games start. The coaches may have been using these early games to better determine who can and can't hack it. I hope that is the case anyways. I guess we will find out next week when district starts.

70+? You have got to be kidding me. That makes this situation even worse. A 3A school with 70+ on the roster is a lot, or maybe I'm just too old and that is a normal number. Unless I'm wrong, they've played a 1A, a 2A, two 3A schools, and a 4A school, and one of their two losses was to the 1A school. However, that 1A school is pretty solid and they did shutout the same Greenup team that put up 38 on LC. It seems like their offense is there. Hopefully you are right and Coach Short is trying to feel out his team for the first part of the year to see what kind of depth he has. However, I think anyone with descent vision can tell you the depth isn't there. Lol! I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he is going to make the needed adjustments and LC will finish 6-4 and have solid showing until they meet Belfry. Maybe he is the type of coach that could care less about records? However, it has to be discouraging every year to know you have to go through Belfry to do anything.
