I was actually surprised with the Bobcats today. We actually made Shelby Valley sustain drives on offense. They didn't just gash us for huge runs over and over again like a lot of people thought they would. So that's a positive but our offense was still non-existent other than a few bright spots but it's better than nothing.

And as for Shelby Valley's coach. I know there's two sides to every story so I won't judge and would love for someone from Valley to shed some light on this for me. But from a Betsy Layne fans standpoint. The coach had zero class. He was inside kicking in the second half and going for it on fourth down when we know they have a kicker that can boot the football because they attempted a 40 something odd field goal before the half. And his starting offense stayed on the field the entire game up until the last 30 seconds of the game and he hands it to his hoss in #5 for a 40 yard gain.

I just didn't necessarily understand this and why he was doing this. But like I said if someone from Valley could help me understand I'd really appreciate it!

That is disappointing to hear. Maybe they had a reason for this. If they do, I'd love to hear it. I've been on the losing end of lopsided games plenty of times. Sometimes it was we were just simply outclassed. Other times teams chose to run it up. I don't understand this mentality. If you are comfortably ahead, why not let younger players play so they can get experience, and you can build your program for the future. Keeping your starters in just to run up the score is very short sited.

On the bright side, based some of the scores I've seen, Betsy Layne has been competitive in a few of their games this season. Do they have a young team?
