Mueller always had a real good offense. Defense was so so. His mindset was to out score teams. If they score 40. We will score 50. He knew his defenses weren’t great defenses. The offense was put in by Cris Collinsworth. They knew patterns like out, post, flag, take off ect. Then it became sticks, fade, seam, skinny posts. ect. All NFL terminology. Mueller very smart. And with Collinsworth help. He became smarter. Mueller got by with plattoning. He did not field his best defensive team. Cause no one went both ways. The offense was pure explosive. Several good running backs. 12 good receivers. And groomed good QBs. How good would those defenses be with some playing defense. The offense was overloaded with talent. Those days for now are over.
