Wayne County had over 440 yards of offense in the first half and scored 44 unanswered to make a 7-7 game into a 51-7 thrashing early in the third quarter. Wayne led 13-7 after one quarter, 44-7 at the half, 51-14 after three periods and Knox scored two TDs late to make it look respectable 51-28. This was not in doubt, from early in the second quarter on. Stetson Simpson might have had a school record with 6 catches for 237 yards and 3 scores, ALL IN THE FIRST HALF!
