I'll be honest...I don't see what the big deal is? It should have been this way all along. Why not reward teams that earn it?

On a more serious note, why should a great team (because of cross bracketing) be forced to travel for two (possibly a third in the 2019) straight years for the Regional Final and Semi-state rounds?

The reseeding could possibly fix this.

Ask the KHSAA why Boyle has traveled because they are the ones who set it up not the rest of the state.

Re-seeding is bad for football in KY. Very little information or research into the method to be used to "rank" teams. Some teams are ALWAYS going to be ranked ahead of other due to schedules THAT CANNOT BE CHANGED. Think of this example: In the new alignment lets say the same 4 teams win their regions every year. All 4 have tough non district schedules playing the best teams around the state and other states and winning. The champion of regions 2 and 4 have one other team in their respective districts that is moderately ranked but the region 1 and 3 champion's districts do not. By this method of thought the region 1 and 3 champions will travel ALL 4 YEARS in the semifinals only because their district opponents don't rank high enough to help their score and that's the one part of their scheduled they have ZERO control over. Your penalizing or rewarding teams because of geography.

The state has made GREAT strides in football over the past 25 years and I strongly feel is the #1 sport in the state now. Attendance at the state finals in Kroger Field proved that this state strongly supports football. Don't screw it up now with this.
