That doesn't change that fact that there are teams that will win by default because the better teams aren't there anymore. Sure you can say you are the best in that class but you if you are only winning because the better teams aren't there anymore does it really make you a strong team? You are the best because you beat the best not because the system helped you out. And yes I would say the same thing if my team (Raceland) were to win at title after Beechwood leaves.

If you're crowning a 1A champion, your goal is to beat every 1A team you play. Period. If you don't, you won't win a championship. The teams have zero control over who is or isn't in their class. In the post Beechwood era, will there be an asterisk on the trophy that says *Didn't have to play Beechwood, so it means less?



You're right, that you are the best because that's who you have beaten, but we aren't crowning overall champions in this state. So, as long as you beat the best teams in your class, you're the best.
