I think Haddix is doing a great job at Corbin. But what makes you think he will stay for a very long time?

College opportunities get the best of HS coaches (just ask Smith who lived his dream by coaching the LB's at UK after his first run at Boyle). Corbin doesn't have along history of keeping coaches do they? For all their success how long did Powers and/or Adams stay?

I’m not sure how long Powers was at Corbin. I think Adams was at Corbin as a head coach from the early 80’s till the mid 90’s and longer as an assistant. Jewell was the head coach at Corbin for over 15 years. The only one that had a short run was Mike Whitaker, and there were some extenuating circumstances there.

As far as chuck smith at UK goes, I always thought he should’ve gotten a chance to be the DC. The linebackers were always the strength of the defense when he was there. He had three or four guys who are still playing in the nfl.
