In high school football today all kids don't get trophies. There is only one trophy that means anything and it is the state championship trophy.

Blaming it on the kids is really weak. That is like an artist with a bad painting blaming the paint. Talent might be down right now compared to the historic run yes. But you have to recognize what players can do and put the team in the best situation to win. If that means breaking from your philosophy you break from your philosophy.

Very well stated and someone that gets it. This has been a BIG, BIg, Big, big problem since Weinrich took over. If what you are doing is not working, then you better try doing something different or you will be on the outside looking in. If your overall total talent is down, you do not put guys out there just to say that you do not have guys playing on both sides of the ball.
