I don't think the general public knows how much Russell has improved. I am still trying to gauge where Casey is. Big, hard fought win over a very good (but undermanned in numbers), Campbellsville team. I think Cmapbellsville is really solid so I'm hoping this means we are about where we were last year. I am sure Russell is better though.

As good as Campbellsville is, the size difference between 3A and a VERY small 1A school, makes a massive difference. While Casey is a very good team, Campbellsville is possibly overall the better team within their class.

A lot of 1A football is simply a war of attrition. If you can stay the healthiest of people in your district and region, you've got a shot to make some noise. If you have healthy athletes in 1A, you're in really good shape.


And with that being said, I don't think Russell County is quite to the level of Casey County. It probably shouldn't be a blow out or a running clock, but I think Casey will feel pretty good about the final score.

I say 35-14 for Casey.
