I 100% agree with you that people are to quick to call kids D1 good in this area. However, the GC QB has some really goods things working in his favor. 1. His coach seems like a person who will help get him recruited. 2. He has great size and we all know you can’t teach size or speed. 3. He has a really good arm. Now I’m not saying he doesn’t have things to work on cause he does but we have to remember as well is he is a 16 maybe 17 year old kid. He’s gonna mature. I am not saying he’s going to go to Alabama or a power five conference, but I do see him playing in a mid major somewhere. Even at schools like those he will be playing with a lot better talent and he will receive some coaching that is well beyond what any coach can give him in the 16th Region. Just my opinion. I just don’t like when people around our area doesn’t give a kid his credit when he is deserving of that. It’s like just because he goes to a rival school and doesn’t ply for Raceland he isn’t good at all.

I can respect that and honestly I hope my assessment is completely wrong and I’m watching him play at a big school in the next few years.
