I’m pretty sure the coaching staff at Corbin Middle School make every attempt to get teams on there schedule that they know will play and compete. Seems like the biggest difference in teams is that they wanna play a weak 8-10 game season schedule and hope to win 50% or more of there conference games and not worry about the state playoffs. Corbin High School is a perfect example of how to schedule games that will make them championship contenders. CHS schedules games with Beechwood, Danville, Mayfield, Alcoa Tn all of which are powerhouse teams that have won state championships recently. Coach Justin Haddix of Corbin knows what it takes to win on the big stage and he isn’t about playing a weak schedule to get there either. Sure a lot of teams are happy with District Championships, not Corbin. And this my friend is why the Corbin Middle School Program is one of the top programs in the state, that and having a Hall of Fame coach at the Middle School. Great program, wishing the Hounds a great playoff season.
