I agree that a Dad would probably feel bad. First here is my overall thoughts about the scrimmage in general.

It was really good for both teams. Bunches of kids played. Raceland fans were really into and I got the feeling it was an extra big deal for them to come to Pond Creek. I did a quick head count of about 100 fans they brought and Belfry had a really nice turnout for a scrimmage.
Teams...
Raceland....very well coached and looked smooth early. QB number 1 had a nice arm and great footwork with a quick delivery and nice faking/pumping ability. WR number 11 was awesome and took advantage of the Belfry corners early. The two ends on D are nice specimens and Raceland D had Belfry out of kilter early. Raceland s overall team speed and quickness is good and their size is plenty big enough overall.

Belfry struggled mightily early but it looked like a lack of confidence and that seemed to stem from the QB position. You can tell that Canterbury is green and Belfry was very very vanilla early. As 55 said, the O line struggled early but they have many new parts.

Dixon was impressive. They contained him pretty good early but later he broke loose for 3 long TD runs/ receptions and runs Hensley had a nicei long run late.

On D Belfry gave up the long plays but their run D was surprisingly solid to me. Baisden made a good push all night and Mounts and Cook laid some good wood. Mounts hit late a couple of times but I don’t think anyone got hurt.

Overall I thought it was what a first scrimmage is for....learning and getting coaches. BTW.
The Belfry pistol/spread will be deadly when all the characters are in the cast. With multiple players out including 2 of your 4-5 best players who are safeties on D, I thought it was a good night. Hats off to the Rams for a great effort.
