I am not taking, anything away from the Mustangs,I am not taking anything away from the Cardinals, but when you are Mayfield showing up is not a automatic win. To some opponents beating Mayfield is their championship game kids should realize when you have the success Mayfield has had over the years you are a target and everyone’s goal is to hit the bullseye, as a matter of fact this loss should be good for Mayfield. As far as the trash talking on here when we brag about how bad we are going to beat someone I’m sure parents coaches etc share this with the kids and it just fires them up. So with that said....Like sands through the hourglass so are the days of our lives

To a certain degree you want them to have the thought of being superior. I will never forget what old (former) number 42 told me. His freshman year when he got his football jersey, he had just come out of baseball, where he played as an 8th grader. Of course we took our share of beatings in baseball. So, he held up that football jersey and said “Dad, people fear us in this”. But, he did his part as well as the rest of the team did to make sure that everyone did fear them.
