I didn’t think about this early on but, the last time Mayfield lost to McCracken Co was 2015 and we went on to win the remainder of our games and our 12th state title. I did some further checking and there is even more similarities. I suspect the schedule this years team has played to this point is slightly better than the competition the 15 Cards played in the first 5 games. However, each of these teams scored a total of 193 points in the first 5 games. Our defense this year has given up 116 points versus the 65 given up in 15 to this point. However, I do think this years team has played a slightly better schedule. So, I think we should be okay.

Sounds like they are very similar on offense. But it looks like the 2015 team had only given up 65 points through 5 games while this year's version has surrendered 116.
