More than a few Americans work in those industries and make a pretty good living doing so. Destroy the industrial and economic base of this country and tens of millions will be sentenced to misery, poverty, and/or death than the coronavirus ever could have destroyed.

The Democrat Party's decades long mission to gnaw off the hands that feed Americans would have warmed the hearts of Stalin and Mao. Unfortunately, more than a few Republicans have joined their cause.

If it was possible to make a nation prosperous by printing more money and handing it out on the basis of need or want, then it would have been done a long, long time ago. Paper is cheap, but money is worthless unless somebody has earned it through hard work and ingenuity.

Many Americans are making sacrifices for a minority that could die from this virus. I think prosperity is the least of our worries at this point.
