He can't help himself. You have to wade through a ton of crap to get a useful nugget from Maher. He's not for me.

At least he is against the cancel culture and brainwashing kids and making their parents foot the bill. It is rare thing to find an honest liberal who doesn't just tick off the liberal talking points of the day.

I'm not sure what he meant with the Carlson comment, but I took Maher to mean that liberals go too far when they force him to agree with Tucker Carlson on an issue.

It's not the political positions that liberals take that causes me to detest most of them, it is the dishonesty and hypocrisy that they resort to in advocating and defending their misguided agenda. I can disagree with people's political positions and still get along with them but I cannot stand dishonest, hypocritical liberals and almost all liberals fall into that category.

I agree with you about Maher. I don't think he cares who he pisses off, the left or the right. He speaks his mind, for sure. I know many on the left have assailed him for his friendship with Ann Coulter. He doesn't give damned who criticizes him. I'm like you, I can respect someone that I disagree with on almost everything as long as they are not fake. Larry Flynt said the reason he came to like Jerry Falwell is because he believed Falwell was not fake, that he really believed the things he said. I think Maher says what he believes and believes what he says. Like you said, that does deserve a measure of respect.
