Pineville needs to go back to that schedule to start the year and not play rock and clay. That’s the first dang job of this coach is SCHEDULING!!!!! GO OUT OF STATE AND PLAY CUMBERLAND GAP OR LEE COUNTY!! Playing rock is not the way to start the season period.

The peak at pineville unless there is a cultural shift, monetary shift, and structural shift at that school is 7 wins with a weak schedule, winning one playoff game maybe, and getting over the hump with middlesboro every so many years. It really wouldn’t be that hard if you schedule jackson, berea, and fairview.

So really don’t build the program, just take it easy and pretend like things are better. That right there is what holds programs in the dark ages, someone actually comes in and challenges the kids and fold and instead of rallying and fighting back the solution is “Find someone that will take it easy on them again”.  I wouldn’t think he would have received essentially a promotion to administration if they didn’t think he could do the job. Sometimes people just want the easy way out and the appearance of success of the hard work and difficult journey it takes to actually build success. There is a reason Williamsburg and Middlesboro dominate this district and it’s because three teams do exactly as you are suggesting and two teams don’t.
