I normally don’t post on this junk, but I heard a close friend of mines daughter saying this thread was circulating. So I got on here and read up on it to see what in the world is going on. A lot of people get on here and and say things because they know people don’t know who they are. I have worked alongside this coaching staff for several years and consider them very close personal friends. I also worked a few years with the previous coaching staff at Perry and consider them friends. The problem of winning isn’t the coaching or coaches, these guys are great coaches. Mark Dixon is one of the best men and coaches that I have ever met, he works extremely hard for the kids and cares for them and waves that the other coaches should follow. The problem at Perry Central is not the coaches. It’s not the talent. It’s not the administration. It’s not the parents. It’s not the officials. it is also not the facilities. I’m not trying to be some philosophical genius, but I’ve also never been afraid to say what’s on my mind. The short and simple truth of the matter is when all of the above mentioned groups decide to come together and become a true football family. Great things will happen at Perry Central. Throwing the blame game around just makes things worse. So just change the name of this thread to let’s come together as a community and win. Just one old man’s opinion. One final note as I said before Perry Central truly has great leadership at the helm of their football program. Don’t be foolish and allow a great coach like Mark Dixon to slide through your fingers. He goes out of his way to play as many players as possible, and the plain and simple truth About football is some kids are meant to play 48 minutes. Some meant to play 24 minutes. Meant to play five minutes and some are meant to cheer from the sideline and everyone is just as important as the other.

Also remember that a lot of the people talking in these threads have motives outside of what's best for the program because they succeed if they tear it down.

These coaches are doing a plenty good enough job of tearing things down on their own. Enjoy first round town everyone. It’s absolutely the best you will ever do.

All these good guys on the coaching staff and yet here we are. Arguing with fans in the stands, lying to parents about present and future plans, administration fighting amongst themselves, coaches involved with law suits for taking peoples money and not doing the job they promised they’d do. Sounds like a good crew if you ask me.

Coaches get criticized all the time. A lot of coaches criticize other coaches. That’s part of the game. If you can’t handle it then you’re in the wrong profession. I personally witnessed the absolute disaster/debacle whatever your want to call it with the letcher central game. When some of your absolute best players quit on you in the middle of the game and tell their parents how happy they are to be away from your sorry ass football program then you’ve got a major problem. Blame whoever you all want but 4 wins against a not so great schedule isn’t going to cut it anywhere other than PCC. All that starts with the coaching staff. Bottom line is, you play who you’re told at Perry in order to keep your job. It’s not about winning there. It’s about pleasing the mafia. Anchors away though. Good luck with that mess ever getting any better.

If the players have the character that it is ok to quit on your team in the middle of a game, no matter what is going on, no matter what is being said, no matter how bad their feelings are hurt.......that starts at home, period.

Or maybe those players had finally decided enough is enough. This bunch is ridiculous and could care less about us so why kill myself for them when they give us no shot at winning? All apples eventually rot. Just like Perry’s coaching staff is. They’re outdated and never change and are basically rotted away and wasting kids time and talents. Sometimes that apple tree gets cut down and removed and I for one think it’s about time for that to happen and remove them from their duties.

Have you requested a meeting with the coach and the administration or do you just yell from the stands?

Everyone has voiced their opinions at this point but it truly doesn’t matter. When you’re a member of the Perry county mafia you can do no wrong and doesn’t matter who you screw over along the way if you’re not one of the chosen ones. Bottom line is those kids deserve better but will never get it because no one truly gives a damn about them. All is truly worried about is these coaches making their big time salaries working jobs that were made up for them entirely. It’s actually a little bit comical if you really set and think about it. Money on top of money and promise on top of promise is made every year for the dores to hopefully make the playoffs and get a first round exit. They’ve got the kids and talent to compete so don’t take me wrong but they don’t have the leadership. Just facts.
