The one loss that was bad was to North Laurel in the WYMT Classic….73-37, but that game just got away from Knox and they got back on their heels and just couldn’t mount a comeback, while at the same time NL couldn’t miss a shot. I personally think it was an anomaly to a degree. I would still pick NL probably to win if they meet in the region but it will not be a blowout like the first time. And a Knox- South game are pretty even pick I think.Have you seen any of the previous Knox versus SL games? Mabe has pretty well handled Collins, Halle makes a living on the boards and offensive rebounds. Mabe is the one player in the region who has the size and mobility and has kept her off the boards to a degree. The supporting casts would be key. Personally I don't think South could beat North again but would handle Knox, the loss of Frederick for Knox was huge in my opinion. North is a different animal, I think Mahan actually wanted to lose this game to get his team motivated, too many misteps he normally doesn't make and easy adjustments he didn't do. And if you are comparing the 7pt loss to Corbin consider that SL beat Corbin by 20 at Corbin. NL is the class of the 13th but SL is a solid 2nd by far. Just my opinion.
Someone has to stop Halle Collins and if she is on her game she can carry Knox on her shoulders.
