I say put guys in the HOF for what they accomplished on the field, without regard to what they did off the baseball diamond. There are lots of scoundrels in the Baseball Hall of Fame,To me, it's really a black eye for MLB , not having the all-time hits leader enshrined in the Hall.

There's definitely lots of image issues with the baseball Hall of Fame.

Rose was in a much different era. Managers smoking in the dugout, fish-bowls of uppers in the clubhouse with the pre-game spread, Dock Ellis throwing a no-hitter on LSD. 'Twas a different time.
