Huff isn't technically a coach anywhere. He resigned from that position weeks ago. So if those kids "followed" anyone then they followed their assistant principal, does the KHSAA have a rule for that?
It will still be the same rule because huff was actually told he was hired a week ago but they wanted to hold off so players could transfer and try to get by that rule another rule that will get them is tampering with players. Knott has already filed it with the KHSAA and some more schools will file against this too. Other schools will say, so these three players transferred to a school with no coach which has never happened, and just by coincidence there old coach got the job. I don’t know if they will be ruled ineligible but I think the KHSAA will act just because they are trying to blatantly make them look stupid
You are saying Knott County has already filed trying to fight the transfer with the KHSAA?
If Knott is fighting the transfers maybe they should have thought of that before running out the coach they wanted to play for.

I really do not see the point anymore in fighting transfers. At the next level these young athletes get NIL, at the high school level at least let them play for the coach they truly want to play for.

The politics of Knott and what lead to Coach Huff leaving, these student athletes should not be punished for losing their coach, and wanting to continue to play for him. If a coach makes an impact in your life, and he becomes a 2nd father to you, or she becomes a 2nd mother to you, that connection does not go away when the administration runs your 2nd father away to bring in a new coach. KCC should want players on their roster that are loyal to KCC and who want to play for Coach Honeycutt. I say don't fight it and let them go.
