To be honest with you there, my older brother was on the JC sidelines at the time as a police officer and he did mention something about Matney saying that he wanted to put it on them, not sure exactly what was said or when it was said during the game, probably the start, because its been a while ago. But I do remember seeing parents, grandparents, toddlers, people rolled out on the field in hospital beds, the whole 9 yards, out on the field after beating them at Paintsville back in 2004, acting like they won the Super Bowl. Students are ok, but when you bring out 5-6 generations of your family to celebrate beating the 4th smallest class A school in the state with a football program, is a little excessive. I just can't wait until this week is over, so all of Johnson Co. can get back to normal, and everyone supporting one another on their District Title ambitions.
