I navigate between BGR & BGP quite often and enjoy both boards. Recently here I have noticed a large amount of negativity towards Powell football. It's because of these threads that I have decided to post rather than just read and move on.hh:

It seems that a few players are communicating with a former coach. I don't for sure, but the language suggests this. My two cents; both parties should stop. Teenage boys and disgruntled, immature former parapros are a bad mix.:dontthink

I think it is time for solutions and proactive measures. If you are a Powell football player, find others who are interested in going to the weight room 2/3 days week, say, Mon/Wed. Ask your principal and AD for help. Generate a list of commitments (sign-up sheet) and take it to them. Ask them to provide/find someone (pe teacher, baseball coach, asst. baseball coach, A.D., person with football background/interest) to monitor the weight room for 1 1/2 to 2 hours two days a week. Start with this and post how it initially goes.
