Any kid that makes it to the next level, regardless of how "prestigious" the school is, is a great honor. The goal of many players who play sports is to go to the next level, but not everyone gets the oppertunity. Yes, it does help you get your education which is most important since only a select few play on Sunday's, but playing college sports is a dream come true for most. I know it was for me when I played my college ball, but it was short lived (2 1/2 years) to a severe knee injury.
