Believe it or not but it only hurt the first day. And even then it wasn't really pain it was like this throbbing sensation. Now like I said the first time I cleaned it with the anti-bacterial soap it burnt like no other that was the only time. I was surprised when I woke up Saturday and it didn't hurt, it didn't even feel like I had anything done. It only hurt when my little cousin went to give me a hug and hit it. Now it only is sore when I'm cleaning it and I move the bar up and down. He pierced it with a 2 inch plastic bar so that it's flexible when I sleep on it and so that it'll give with my ear while it's initially healing, in four to six weeks I get to change it to a 1 1/2 inch bar. I'm glad I went through with it, I got some free H2Ocean salt water spray to clean it becuase I had to wait for him to finish up a tattoo which was no problem for me, it gave me time to calm down. The guy who did it was really professional and really gentle. This was my second time going to Southern Steel for a piercing and I have been extremely pleased with the results from both so I am defintally going back there if I get anything else done.
