There is a ton of responsibility for the chaperone that travels and takes the group. Our school does allow the overnight trip and if need be more than one night. We have always done this and take a trip each year for basketball on a three or four night stay. It can be a valuable experience for the students but really it needs to be very well chaperoned. We also go to camp every year and stay four nights. travel is something that can be rewarding beyond measure for many that do not have the opportunty or finances at home to do so.
