Out of State Firewood Banned in Kentucky State Parks
#1
Spring has sprung, and state parks are packed.
The camping season isn’t even underway in Kentucky, but people are aready parking campers and pitching tents.
And as they arrive, they are getting some surprising news that may cost them a few extra dollars.

Due to a type of beetle that attacks the native ash trees, only safe firewood is for sale, meaning all kindling sold across state lines is banned.
The beetle hasn’t made it to the Bluegrass State, and Kentucky officials intend to keep it that way.
It’s a big price to pay…to save their trees.
