Shelby Valley, Pike County Central, and East Ridge
#7
Shelby Valley and Pike Central have been fairly evenly matched the past five years. East Ridge is slighlty behind but they are the most recent school to have to face the problems that come with consolidation. Going back five years, Shelby Valley has 24 wins and 30 losses, Pike Central has 23 wins and 29 losses while East Ridge has just 14 wins and 35 losses. The games between these schools have been entertaining and fun to watch because they have been comparable in talent. With that being said, each of these schools have been fighting for the fourth playoff spot each year while Belfry, Sheldon Clark and Prestonsburg have been fighting for the number one spot. With the new alignment, Prestonsburg and SV will most likely be one and two in their districts in 2A while PC and ER will most likely fight it out for the number 3 seed in 3A with Belfry and Sheldon Clark one and two.
