How many Johnson Central Players Are Originally From Out Of County?
#26
I truly think that ALL schools should abide by Khsaa regulations but in this situation I believe it wasn't the schools choice. They didn't recruit the players posters refer to sometimes, myself included. You basically had a very good football coach come to a school that was intereseted in building a football tradition. They hadn't had the best of luck with the football program in the past ..oh...20 years. They offer the job to a fellow known for motivating athletes, on and off the field. The player's parents or guardians felt that Central would have the best chance for them to develop, play, learn and grow. Same thing goes for Paintsville basketball, if you have a grade school age child that shows interest in that sport and wants to work hard...there's the answer. Great Example= I always believed when they created Letcher Central that they would have a great tradition in girls basketball. Whitesburg and Letcher Central.
As a previous poster said, "You build it and they will come"
